In the beginning …

I had created a lovely grey and white kitchen. I spent not an inconsiderable amount of time dismantling all the cabinets, sanding doors, priming, painting and reassembling everything to achieve the desired effect. However, with all the muted tones it needed a pop of colour. By combining a penchant for colour charts and a love of chillis, my first design was born. Suggestions from friends and family followed and, after a successful Christmas sale it appeared we might be on to something. We needed a name for the new company and inspiration came from the nearby escarpment that rises to the south of the village where the company started: Windwhistle Ridge. The ideas came thick and fast and the range of designs and products grew. Now based in Herefordshire, we travel across the south and west of England to meet people and share our work. I hope you enjoy our designs as much as we have enjoyed making them.

Sustainability

FSC Approved

The paper on which our art is printed is from sources approved by the Forest Stewardship Council, the leading organisation in sustainable forestry.

Reducing Plastics

We are phasing out the use of plastic covers for our cards and art prints in favour of cellophane wrappers which can be disposed of with compostable food waste.

Repurposing

Our prints are backed with materials from recycled sources from previous larger packing materials, which are cut down to size and reused.

Paper Bags

Our paper bags are 100% recyclable. We use our own custom stamp instead of stickers, meaning there is no excuse not to reuse or recycle them!

Poster Tubes

The poster tubes we use are made from recycled sources with waste cardboard from production being re-pulped. The glue is chemical free and water based.

Keeping it local

We work with UK-based suppliers and printers to minimise our carbon footprint and support local businesses whenever possible.
